Tim Jaggs

Hi, I'm Tim Jaggs. Welcome to my profile!

My name is Tim Jaggs.  I now live and work in Canada but have worked in the Lloyd's of London insurance market for over 25 years.I work for Integro as a (re)insurance broker. I tend to broke unusual and hard to place casualty risks - maybe because the coverage is new, the structure unusual or the class distressed - as insurance, reinsurance and programmes. On my blog - www.ishouldgetoutmore.com - I talk about how risk, insurance and social technology are changing each other. Risk is always changing; I just think it is changing faster now that at any time in my 25+ years in the insurance industry but then again, so too is how information is generated and managed. You can email me at 'home': [email protected] at 'work': [email protected] You can follow me on twitter - @shouldgetoutmor.

Tim Jaggs's Experience

Senior Vice President at Integro Canada Ltd

November 2012 - Present | Vancouver

I tend to broke unusual and hard to place casualty risks - maybe because the coverage is new, the structure unusual or the class distressed - as insurance, reinsurance and programs.

Executive Director at Towers Watson

July 2006 - November 2012 | London

I run a team looking after E&O, PL, D&O, FI, EPLI, SML, IP, Cyber, Data Breach, Tech, Media, GL and Crime.

North American Team at Benfield

1998 - 2006

A year after Aon took over Bain Hogg, I moved to Blanch as MD of Professional Risks, another successful start-up. Blanch was later acquired by Benfield. At Blanch, we continued to look after FI, PI and D&O but also developed an EPL practice - with the business gradually taking on a more US and wholesale focus. Once at Benfield, the distribution was primarily North American reinsurance and programs but the products were traditional financial lines.

Managing Director - Professional Risks at Aon

1983 - 1998

I started at Hogg Robinson Gardner Mountain (HRGM) in a start-up team of 5 and was MD by the time AON acquired Bain Hogg (as it had become). We specialised in larger UK PI and FI direct retail business and supported a UK-wide network of HRGM branches; D&O was also a strength, as it became more established outside the US. We also looked after wholesale FI from all over the world.
